Double Deity

Cast from a very old traditional teardrop pendant, double deity has the most beautiful worn patina.

Throughout many temples in India the goddess is worshipped as a pair of women. Who the twin godesses are is not entirely clear. Sometimes described as sisters, mother and daughter, goddess and companion and sometimes even wives.

Strung on leather with a vintage tube bead and coin.
